TabPilot Expands School MDM Features for iOS

In February, TabPilot released the iOS version of the Tablet Manager MDM suite into public beta, offering key MDM features including integration with Apple’s Device Enrollment Program (DEP) and Volume Purchase Program (VPP). Today, the company expanded the offering with new features for both classroom teachers and IT administrators.

Among the new classroom features is the ability for teachers to distribute content to iPads for student access through the TabPilot File Locker app. File Locker will display many common file formats internally, or allow the student to choose an external app. Teachers have access to clear passcodes on iPads, allowing students to get back to work quickly. AirPlay features allow teachers to choose a student iPad to start mirroring to a classroom Apple TV device with a few clicks in the cloud-based Control Tower console. Web Links allow the teacher to place links to websites directly on student iPad home screens and restrict the browser to only that group of sites if they choose.

TabPilot invites schools to try TabPilot for iOS for free. Schools who use the free trial to test the new features before June 28th will receive free device licenses and pay only an annual subscription fee.
