Convicted teacher Jennifer Fichter has garnered an international online following after receiving a 22-year sentence for inappropriate relationships with students, according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal. In the UK, a balding teacher sent a teen pupil "sexually explicit" Facebook messages signed as a character from Despicable Me, according to the Mirror. LA Unified is taking a proactive, rather than, prohibitive strategy to the serious problem. The district is developing a curriculum devoted specifically to the dangers of sexting.
