Classroom Direct® extended its collaboration with the North Side School to furnish their early childhood center in Queens, New York with modern classroom desks intended for 21st Century Learning. North Side is a non-profit charter school specializing in early childhood education and development, operating out of eight sites in the New York City boroughs of Queens and the Bronx.
Students and teachers at North Side will use desks designed for a collaborative learning environment that can adapt to diverse learning styles and teaching techniques. With the growing movement towards active and collaborative learning, educators expect 21st century classroom spaces to be versatile and instantly adaptable. This includes wedge-shaped desktops and flexible seating which can be configured for individual, small group or large group settings as classroom activities dictate.
The North Side School will be outfitted with the Classroom Select Contemporary Stand Up Collaboration Desk™, which comes with an adjustable height that can be varied from 30 - 43 in. The model features a hexagon laminated top with black LockEdge for enhanced durability and easy maintenance. It measures 21 in x 16 in x 33 in and comes in elegant nickel chrome frame finish for an attractive look. The desktops are oversized so there is ample space for laptops, books and materials.
