What is Wizer and How Can I Use It To Teach?
Wizer is a digital worksheet designed for help teachers plan more easily to regain time
This article was updated in June 2026.
Wizer is an online worksheet creation platform that helps teachers build interactive digital assignments for use in the classroom, remote learning, or homework activities.
Designed to save time while increasing student engagement, Wizer allows educators to create multimedia-rich worksheets featuring questions, images, videos, audio recordings, and interactive tasks.
Teachers can build worksheets from scratch or customize thousands of ready-made resources shared by the Wizer community. Activities can include multiple-choice questions, image labelling exercises, open-ended responses, and other assessment formats, making the platform suitable for a wide range of subjects and ages.
Wizer also integrates with Google Classroom to simplify assignment distribution and grading. Since it runs in a web browser -- and is available on smartphones and tablets -- students can access worksheets across multiple devices with ease.
So what is Wizer, how does it work, and is it worth using in your classroom? Here's everything you need to know.
What is Wizer?
While you now probably have an idea what Wizer is, there's more to be explained. This tool will create digital worksheets, but that's a broad term. And its uses are very broad, too.
Essentially, each worksheet is a question- or task-based sheet, so it's more likely to be made by teachers and set as an assignment to students, in most cases. This can be as an assessment method or as a way to complete work tasks. For example, you could use an image of the human body and have students annotate the parts.

Wizer works on virtually any modern device through a web browser, including Chromebooks, Windows laptops, Macs, tablets, and smartphones. Since the platform is cloud-based, students can access assignments from school or home without needing special software installations.
What's new in Wizer?
Wizer now supports differentiated instruction, allowing teachers to assign different versions of worksheets to individual students or groups. The platform also includes reflection and feedback tools to help educators personalize learning and monitor student progress more effectively.
Recent updates emphasize student choice, learner profiles, reflection tools, and adaptive worksheet options. All that helps educators to tailor activities to individual needs.
The platform also keeps up its tight Google Classroom integration. This helps teachers streamline assignment sharing and grading while reducing admin work.
How to get started with Wizer
To get started with Wizer you can head over to the Wizer website. Select the "Join now" option and you can quickly begin with a free account, whether you're a teacher, student, or parent.
Now you can select the "add task" option, where you'll be guided by prompts on how to create the right worksheet for your needs. Alternatively, go through the huge selection of crowd-created resources to find something that suits.
How to use Wizer
If you're creating from scratch, you'll need to input a title, pick a text style and color, choose a background, and add student tasks using text, images, videos, or links. Then pick a question type from open, multiple choice, matching, and other options.
Or you can chose something a bit more specific to suit the task. This can include filling in a table, tagging an image, embedding, and more.
You can set the worksheet to be completed asynchronously, or you can schedule it for a certain date and time so everyone is doing it at the same time, even if some students are in class and some are working remotely.
When you're happy with the finished product, it's time to share the worksheet. This can be done by simply sharing a URL that you can send through email or an LMS. For those using Google Classroom, it's an easy way to share as the two systems integrate well.
Conveniently, you can upload a PDF, so you can digitize real-world worksheets easily. Upload in the creation process and the answer areas can be selected so the students can respond digitally. This will even automatically grade for teachers too, in the case of multiple choice or matching questions. For open-ended questions and discussions (in which students can collaborate), the teacher will need to assess these manually.
An option to add reflection questions is available so students can provide feedback on how they feel about a worksheet or particular question. Students can also record their voice here, which allows for a personalized feedback option.
Each student has a profile that allows them to share what they like and know. Teachers can also add tags that students can't see, for example, to keep notes on students if they're struggling or if they're quiet. Then students could send a question just to students who have been tagged as quiet. This is a paid for feature but more on that below.
If you select the "Assign to Google Classroom" check box when creating, this will share automatically. It can also be set to send the grade back into Classroom automatically too in the paid version, removing a lot of the admin busywork.
Wizer's strongest feature is its ability to personalize learning at scale. Through learner profiles, differentiated worksheets, reflection questions, and student-choice activities. Using all that teachers can tailor assignments without creating entirely separate lessons for every student. This makes the platform particularly useful for mixed-ability classrooms.
How much does Wizer cost?
Wizer offers a free plan that includes unlimited question types, audio instructions, audio responses, and access to core worksheet-building tools.
For teachers who need more advanced classroom management and differentiation features, Wizer also offers a Premium subscription, at $5 per month, billed annually. Premium adds student grouping, video instructions and responses, worksheet scheduling, advanced personalization tools, Google Classroom grade syncing, and access to premium worksheet resources.
Wizer Tips
- Use what's already in Wizer - Thanks to the wide array of teachers already using this platform, it's filled with diverse content that you can scroll through or search for the right sheet for your needs.
- Use Wizer for lessons - Integrate videos and images to help you to work through content with your class, then have the questions flow so you can ask students in the real world and have them answer digitally.
- Use learner profile for Wizer differentiation - Teachers using Wizer can work with learner profiles for students. Teachers can make a note on a student's profile, for example, saying that student is shy.
- Use audio in Wizer for ESL and special needs students - Wizer lets teachers record audio instructions and, in the case of the paid version, video instructions. This also then lets the students respond using audio or video depending on the tier.
- Use auto grading in Wizer - Wizer worksheets can mark themselves, which is a great time-saving feature. It also integrates with Google Classroom, helping you to work smarter not harder.
