Atlanta Public Schools Integrates Content Providers Within One PD System

Atlanta Public Schools (APS) recently integrated four content providers within a single sign-on, professional learning management system managed by Truenorthlogic. Educators have on-demand access to professional development resources and tools from multiple content providers, including district-created content. With APS’s comprehensive professional learning management system, relevant courses, videos and instructional content are recommended based on an educator’s specific professional growth goals.

Educators are able to access content that connects to their practice and is differentiated to meet their individual professional learning needs. Through search by competency or by subject functionality, teachers can find professional learning from a variety of sources that has been specifically aligned to Common Core, Teacher Keys, Leader Keys, School Keys, as well as multiple subject areas. The content is available anytime for all APS staff.

“All of our employees have the ability to self-select professional learning based on competencies and subject areas. Now each person can manage their own professional learning while enhancing their instructional capacity,” says Dr. Kristal Ayres, Director of Professional Learning for Atlanta Public Schools.
