Dan Strickland has been awarded a three-year contract to serve as superintendent for Marion County (SC) School Districts, 1, 2 and 7 as a single consolidated county school district.
Strickland has served as superintendent of Columbus County Schools in Whiteville, N.C., for the past five years and worked for that district in various teaching and administrative positions since 1972.
