Microsoft announced the winners of the 2011 Imagine Cup at the David H. Koch Theatre at Lincoln Center in New York City.
The global Imagine Cup competition challenges students from around the world to use technology to solve global humanitarian problems. This year’s winners have tackled problems such as improving road and fire safety, eradicating poverty, and creating a more sustainable environment.
The company also unveiled plans to launch a three-year, $3 million competitive grant program to help Imagine Cup participants realize their vision of solving the world’s toughest problems.
