Jamf today announced that the Jamf Parent iOS app is now available. The free app allows parents to manage their children's school-issued devices, if they’re managed with Jamf Pro or Jamf School.
Parents can:
- Schedule homework and bedtimes as distraction-free zones
- Receive notifications when their children arrive at school or at home with their devices
- Manage one or several kids on the go (for example, turn off apps when a student is riding a bike or walking to and from school through traffic)
- Create custom rules with the step-by-step wizard
- See a child’s device name, current device storage use, device model and iOS version
Jamf School was announced earlier this year and was created from Jamf's acquired ZuluDesk technology.
