FundaGeek announces the launch of its new Education Portal site: www.fundageek.com/education, designed to assist educators in securing funding for their projects.

Crowdfunding is a funding mechanism utilizing the power of crowds through social media. Using social networks, educators can solicit personal donations in order to fund the budget of their projects. Schools can post a crowdfunding campaign on FundaGeek to raise funds for classroom equipment, new construction projects like a computer lab, library support, equipment for sports teams, musical instruments, after school programs, graffiti clean-up, school buses, lunch programs, robotics team support, field trips, and more.

Educators get whatever funding the project has attracted by the end of the campaign and projects may be resubmitted for a continued and on-going source of funding. There are no up-front fees to use FundaGeek.
