The Hempfield (PA) Area School District and the Lyon County (NV) School District have awarded contracts to assess district technology.
Pepperweed Consulting of Sewickley in Allegheny County was awarded a $15,000 contract for the work at the Hempfield district following teacher complaints about the state of the computer system. Teachers have had problems implementing new social studies curriculum that relies on computers in the classroom.
Lyon County Board of School Trustees awarded a $44,500 bid to Connecting Point for a district technology audit. A memo to the school board noted that Connecting Point has conducted technology audits for nearby school districts.
