So you finally got approval to attend that conference. Great!. Conferences offer you and your teachers a variety of learning opportunities. Help them to maximize the benefit with the following planning tips.
- After you sign up for the conference, get a copy of the full program. This may be available on the conference Web site in HTML, in a database, or as an attachment.
- Review the program to plan what sessions you will attend. If the website is in a database, use keywords to search for topics and presenters.
- If the program is not available online, try to get to the conference early.
- Go with others and plan a “divide and conquer approach.†Split up, visit different sessions, and share notes later.
