The student population is extremely diverse, representing more than 15 ethnic groups and more than 60 languages and dialects. Sublime Learning™ recognizes San Diego Unified School District's efforts to provide all students equal opportunities to learn in ways that address their learning needs and the realities of learning and working in the 21st century.

San Diego Unified has taken a bold step towards the transformation of the learning environment in each of its 7,000 classrooms by focusing on three key initiatives:

1. i21 Interactive Classroom- a personalized learning environment designed to optimize teaching and learning.
2. Universal Design for Learning - UDL provides a blueprint for creating instructional goals, methods, materials, and assessments that work for all students.
3. Kurzweil 3000 by Cambium Learning - District-wide access to scan/read technology that makes text accessible to all learners.

Sublime Learning™ is the coordinating company helping San Diego Unified School District develop long-range plans that integrate these key initiatives and deliver professional development that meets the unique needs of the district.
