Question: Do you have samples of needs surveys for staff development?

The IT Guy says:
Take a look at this sample of survey questions I used last Spring with middle school teachers in Plainview, Texas. It is available on http://www.wtvi.com/plainview/survey_questions.pdf. The results from that survey determined our technology staff development focus for monthly workshops. That curriculum is available on http://www.wtvi.com/plainview.

One of the best tools for conducting online surveys (including pre-made surveys you can use "as-is" or further customize to meet your own needs) is Profiler. After creating a free account, you can look at survey instruments created by others, modify one of them as desired, or create your own from scratch.

Another worthwhile online sample is one from Sun Associates. An example of a robust survey system created to meet the needs of a large group of educators is PILOT (Preparing to Integrate Learning Opportunities with Technology) from educators in Washington state.
