Julie-Ann Fuchs will be the will be the new assistant superintendent for business at Kaneland (IL) School District 302, effective July 1. She will succeed Tom Runty, who is retiring but will stay on through June.
Fuchs began her career in the district more than a decade ago as a teacher, working part time in both the district vocational canter and in staff development for technology. She later managed career and technical education grants for high schools that feed into Waubonsee Community College and has been overseeing technology, transportation, and communications for the district for the past three years.
Fuchs has masters degrees in secondary education and in education administration from Northern Illinois University and a bachelor's degree in international business from Illinois State University.
