Brief Description of the Site: The school media center Home page for Creekview High School in Carrollton, Texas is used throughout the school and in the community as a gateway for Internet research. Whether students are in the library, classrooms, one of the computer labs, or at home, they have instant access to library resources. The site isn¹t flashy, but the rich content makes the page useful for students and teachers alike.
How to use the site: This site is an example of library/media specialists working closely with teachers to target online resources available through the media center Web page. Students have access to the library¹s collection and certain basic research tools such as search engines, and online encyclopedias. In addition, there is a Current Research area. This customized section is updated regularly to provide links for weekly research assignments. When this site was reviewed, four different research topics were available.
