Here's activities that allow all ages to celebrate the dubious but delightful holiday of Groundhog Day! Teachers will find some great activities for the younger students like coloring pages, math activities, word puzzles, mazes, songs, and cut-out ornaments. But even the older students can find some educational tie-ins. Where does the tradition of Ground Hog Day come from? Did the Europeans bring with them the myths that stem from man's compliance with nature's whims? This is a good springboard to discuss the standard of how folklore and other cultural contributions from various regions form our national heritage.
