Lakewood, NJ – August 26, 2014 Achieve3000®, the leader in online differentiated instruction, today announced the release of Informed Learning Paths (ILPs), built using results from the Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®) assessment from NWEA. Developed in partnership with Northwest Evaluation Association™ (NWEA™), the pioneer in computer adaptive assessments that measure student growth independent of grade, these ILPs will allow teachers to provide each student with a customized set of lessons to develop his or her skills.

“We’re very pleased to release the new Informed Learning Paths in time for the new school year,” said Saki Dodelson, CEO and Founder of Achieve3000. “Our partnership with NWEA is an exciting, new way to help teachers measure progress and for students to make gains toward the new rigors required in today’s classroom.”

To integrate assessment with instruction, Achieve3000 users import RIT scores from MAP results and generate performance reports for each student and class. Teachers have access to information about individual student scores and the informational text goals addressed in Achieve3000. The program assigns an ILP to each student based on his or her RIT scores. To make MAP data actionable for teachers, Achieve3000 created Teacher Recommendations and a Skills Progression guide to help teachers differentiate instruction of key skills and concepts across RIT bands. Matt Chapman, President and CEO of NWEA, said, “By integrating MAP assessment results with their own student data, Achieve3000 is optimizing the learning experience for students by allowing educators to better respond to individual needs with targeted instruction. Partnering with Achieve3000 fits perfectly with the NWEA mission – Partnering to help all kids learn® – and furthers our goal of increasing student growth through a personalized academic experience.”

Achieve3000’s MAP Informed Learning Paths are a powerful way to support teachers and accelerate student achievement. They are ideal for schools and districts implementing Response to Intervention (RtI) plans, since the National Center for RtI recognizes MAP as a universal screener.
