The Biology Project: Chemicals and Human Health

This project from the University of Arizona demonstrates the effects chemicals have on human health. The activity shows an experiment that asks students of analyze how second-hand smoke affects the development of lungs and human health. The projects, with tutorials, address how metals affect kidneys, how chemicals affect human health, and the basics of lung anatomy and function in the face of environmental tobacco smoke. Each section of each problem includes a tutorial with relevant information to help the student find the solution.
