Happy Halloween! The White House has been compared to a “Jack-o’-lantern on the hill.” The White House Historical Association has put together this interesting site that tells about the celebration of Halloween in the United States and how various presidents shared in the celebration in the White House. You will also find stories of ghostly encounters through the years in this historic house. Read about Mary Todd Lincoln’s seances and Harry Truman’s ghostly tricks.
