The Day Jimmy’s Boa Taught Cause and Effect

2/26/2014 6:00:00 PM
Jimmy’s boa really gets around. Use the four books by Trinka Hakes Noble about Jimmy and his boa to teach the concept of cause and effect. This ReadWriteThink lesson for early elementary students includes everything you need to use the books to teach cause and effect, except for the books, of course. You’ll find a chart of the causes and effects in the books, a puzzle that pertains just to Jimmy’s Boa and the Big Splash Birthday Bash, a flow chart for your students to use when writing their own books. There is also a grading rubric, and a student checklist so your students can begin to assess their own work.
