 Keyboarding, or typing, is a critical skill for students to learn in their pursuit of technology literacy. It is a stepping stone to using a computer and can be introduced as early as kindergarten. It can be taught in blocks during free time or even in summer classes.

ABCya! - A fun site/app for kids who are learning how to type with games such as Alpha Munchies, Cup Stack Typing, and Jump Key.

AlfaTyping - An abundance of typing resources, including tutorials and walkthroughs.

FreeTypingGame.net - A nice little site for practicing different skills, with various activities designed for kids.

Learn 2 Type - A simple site with online tests to track how many words per minute a student can type.

Learning Games for Kids - Offers educational games including more than 20 typing challenge activities.

Nitro Type - Students participate in worldwide, real-time competitions to pit their typing abilities against others.

Power Typing - Features seven easy-to-use online typing challenges.

RoomRecess - A fun site with a variety of keyboarding games, including Letter Bursts, Popcorn Typer, and Launch Key.

TypeDojo - Designed for students in grades 1 to 8, it includes lessons and games, plus progress certificates.

TypingClub - An interactive site with a portal that features instructional videos and typing playback, and also unveils a unique story as the student progresses.
