Today's Newsletter: Trump and the Future of Edtech in America’s Schools

Where to begin? This seems to be the most widespread question since President-elect Trump’s historic election victory this month. On December 7, I hope you can join me and a wide assortment of advisors from the worlds of edtech industry, government policy, and school leadership to answer that question within the context of two most prevalent issues concerning the future of education—digital access and personalized learning. During our first session, panelists and attendees will look at Trump’s initial promises of infrastructure development and what that may mean to the future of federal edtech initiatives such as E-Rate and EdConnect. During the second session, we'll explore how tools like online/blended platforms, MOOCs, formative assessment software, and digital curricula adapt to what may be a changing landscape of greater school choice, the abandonment of Common Core, and the continued importance of student data privacy.
