T&L Leadership Summit: Turning Big Data into Big Benefits for Students

The T&L roadshow continues this week for our Tech & Learning Leadership Summit in Denver. This conference, produced by Tech & Learning and sponsored by BrightBytes, will focus on “Turning Big Data into Big Benefits for Students.” We’ll kick off the day with a visit to to mindSpark Learning (@mymindspark), a place for educators to collaborate, create, and innovate. Attendees will enjoy a tour of this innovative facility, followed by an opportunity to address, discuss and question the idea of using data to build, integrate, and measure creativity in learning. After the visit, Scott McLeod, widely recognized as one of the nation’s leading experts on P-12 school technology leadership issues, will deliver the opening keynote. Tomorrow, we’ll dive deeper into the topic with a keynote by Ryan Baker, Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, who will share their work with educational data mining and how this can be used to improve teaching and learning, followed by a day of small group discussions that will explore the many ways schools can leverage big data to improve student trajectories.
