The Millennium Cities Initiative, a project of the Earth Institute at Columbia University is bringing together students from four countries in celebration of World Read Aloud Day(WRAD), tomorrow, March 3.

Students from Miner Elementary in Washington, DC; Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC; Opoku Ware Junior High in Kumasi, Ghana; Arya Primary in Kisumu, Kenya; and Ecole le Progres, Faladie Sema in Bamako, Mali, have collaborated to create an adventure story online, which will be read aloud by the students as they join together using TokBox video conferencing.

Ideas for WRAD Read Aloud books and activities, as well as templates for printable certificates, stickers, and bookmarks are available for free download on Litworld.
