Polycom has joined in establishing the Open Visual Communications Consortium, which aims to make enterprise-quality video calls as easy as a voice call on your mobile phone. Polycom is also acquiring HP’s Visual Collaboration Business Unit, including Halo, and will become HP’s exclusive video communications partner. HP will integrate Polycom’s video applications in HP’s WebOS Platform and HP Touchpad product line.
