International youth science fair

Five students from McKinley Technology High School in Washington, DC, have been chosen to attend the 4th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Youth Science Festival, an international science fair seeking to promote learning through cutting-edge technology and cultural activities. The festival will be held this August in Bangkok, Thailand.

McKinley Technology was one of five schools in the nation identified by the U.S. State Department as a candidate for the festival and the students from McKinley Technology are the only ones that were accepted for the program from the United States. Upon their return, students will share their experience with their academic peers, as well as speak to the Armed Forces Communications and Electronic Association DC educational committee and the Armed Forces Communications Association DC Board of Directors.
