Winners of $170,000 classroom makeover video contest announced
eInstruction announced today three grand prize winners of its fifth annual Classroom Makeover Video Contest. The winners were selected by a guest judging panel and nearly 50,000 votes submitted by the general public on the contest website, http://www.2011classroommakeover.com.
The three classroom makeover prize packages are valued between $29,467 and $79,812 each, and include educational technology from eInstruction and 14 other education technology providers. In addition to the classroom technology, winners will receive a $500 cash prize for hosting a celebratory party for the entire school.
Grades K-5 Winner: Lynn Martinez’s Fourth Grade Class from Olmito Elementary in Brownsville, TX. Their video, “eInstruction, Rescue Me!” can be viewed here.
Grades 6–8 Winner: Joseph Groppe’s Class from Crews Lake Middle School in Spring Hill, FL. Their video, “Extreme Classroom Makeover,” can be viewed here.
Grades 9-12 Winner: Gina McCarley’s Class from Lawrence County High School in Moulton, AL. Their video, “Teach Me How to Study,” can be viewed here.
