Tech Forum Atlanta: A Closer Look at the Day's Breakout Sessions

Wondering what we'll be covering at Tech Forum Atlanta? Our breakout sessions are a key component of this information-packed day. Geared especially to administrators, mentor teachers and other education technology leaders, these sessions offer an in-depth look at some of the hottest topics affecting the K-12 ed tech community. Here's a glimpse at the breakouts we have planned for you on March 2:

Going Google

Got Google Apps for Education? Google Tools? Having trouble keeping up with what’s new and how to use the many free options available to you? Three Google-using educators will share their favorite apps and tools, along with student project ideas, teacher and administrator productivity tips, and thoughts about adopting Google Apps school- or district-wide.

BYOT: Pros, Cons and Logistics

“Bring your own" technology programs are taking the nation by storm. Presenters from two districts that have implemented BYOT initiatives will describe how and why they've moved in this direction and what they've learned from the process. You'll also hear arguments about the advantages and dangers of BYO and have the chance to pose questions or offer your opinion during a lively Q&A session.

The Student perspective

We’ve invited several students, ranging in age from middle school to college, to share their perspective on the role of technology in their lives and in their education – and to push our thinking about what’s possible if we offer students access to powerful digital tools and encourage them to take the lead.
