Short throw projector gains interactive capability

Optoma has added interactive capabilities to one of its short throw projectors. The TW610STi is 3D-capable in 720p HD and offers both PC-free operation through its USB port and remote command and control via Crestron RoomView® technology. The WXGA resolution projector delivers 3100 lumens of brightness, and will be available in January.

The Optoma TW610STi turns any surface into an engaging, collaborative workspace without capital investment in additional equipment. Using the interactive open’s wireless technology, teachers and presenters can engage with their class or audience while interacting with displayed applications from anywhere in the room. The short throw, widescreen (WXGA - 1280 x 800 pixels) projector can deliver an 84” image from as close as three feet from the screen or wall. 3D capabilities are provided by DLPLink™ technology to support 720p 3D display with the use of active-shutter glasses.
