ClassLink has announced the recipient of its 9th Annual ClassLink College Scholarship Award. The $1000 scholarship program is open to high school seniors at participating ClassLink schools who are interested in furthering their education at a two or four-year college. This year’s award winner is Kelsey Prye from Pulaski High School in New York.

To be considered for this award, students were asked to write a persuasive essay describing perceptions of cyber bullying and its impact. They were also asked to create a plan for the prevention of cyber bullying. Kelsey Prye impressed ClassLink judges with her essay on the need to raise awareness on the issue of bullying overall. Kelsey included in her essay her own experience helping organize and implement an action plan with her friends to combat cyber bullying at her high school.
