NEC unveils new iPad-friendly projectors

NEC Display Solutions is introducing three new projectors for the education market and for small-to-medium-sized business environments.

The new M271X, M311X and M311W projectors are equipped with ECO Mode™ technology, which includes a carbon savings meter, extended filter life and energy-saving features such as quick startup and direct power off. With the ECO Mode additions, the projectors consume 12 percent less power than earlier models.

Wireless Imaging Utility, another new feature, enables users to send images from their iPad directly to the projector, while Crestron Roomview Connect™ allows for unified management by giving users control of multiple projectors connected to a network while providing emergency messaging capabilities.

The M271X, M311X and M311W will be available in December 2012 at an estimated street price of $802, $912, and $989, respectively.
