Edgenuity, Northwest Evaluation Association partner to promote English, Math intervention

Edgenuity and Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) today announced the creation of a new integration that will be available later this year . This integration will allow educators to use assessment data generated by Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®) from NWEA to assign Individualized Learning Paths within Edgenuity to students in grades 6-12.

The integration will enable educators to export assessment data from MAP and import it into Edgenuity. Edgenuity’s learning management system will then suggest an Individualized Learning Path for each student based on his or her test scores. Each path features video lessons with interactive tasks and activities, along with robust practice assignments.

With this new integration, teachers and administrators can identify student weaknesses and intervene immediately in the areas of English Language Arts and math:

  • English Language Arts Learning Paths are focused on reading comprehension and literary analysis, with an emphasis on literary nonfiction and information texts, as well as grammar and mechanics.
  • Math Learning Paths are sequenced to provide the concepts and skills required for success in Algebra, including number properties and arithmetic with integers and rational numbers, proportional reasoning and relationships, and basic algebraic manipulations.
