Microsoft announces the customer preview of Office Mix, which helps teachers turn PowerPoint presentations into interactive online lessons.
Office Mix adds functionality to PowerPoint 2013 in two ways. The first part is an add-in to PowerPoint that allows users to record audio or video of the presenter, write on slides as they are speaking, insert quizzes, polls, online videos, and more. Users can also add content from interactive apps such as exercises and lessons from Khan Academy and CK-12 Foundation.
The second part is a website that adds the interactivity, analytics, and ability to share. Once the lesson has been created in PowerPoint, it can be uploaded to the website to allow teachers to share and review results from the lesson.
