Today's Newsletter: EdTech Innovations Abound

It must be last week’s CODiE Awards that has me focused on all the new companies news in the Tech&Learning newsfeed this weekend. Xconomy details Clever, which tackles the mundane yet essential task of data entry for teachers. Forbes looks at Brainly and the concept of “crowdlearning.” Techcrunch details a big data processor called Learnsprout. Six other edtech startups were honored last week in Philadelphia by the Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan Competition. Some folks want to debate on whether or not all this activity indicates an edtech bubble. I say bring on the bubbles if it means education finally gets automated!—Kevin Hogan, Editorial Director
