Edmodo has announced the release of Snapshot, the company’s formative assessment tool designed. Built directly into the Edmodo platform, Snapshot currently features Common Core and a range of other U.S. state standards.

Featuring standards-aligned questions for grades 3-12 Math and ELA, the tool generates quizzes based on a teacher’s classroom curriculum. Teachers can see individual student and overall class progress. A content recommendation engine identifies resources teachers can assign students to improve performance.

Edmodo is also debuting Snapshot for Schools, which extends the existing admin feature set of Edmodo and enables school and district professionals to gauge progress on educational standards in real time at the school and district level.

As featured at ISTE, early adopters of the Snapshot for Schools package will also receive sneak peek access to Edmodo Practice, an engine that enables the delivery of standards-aligned content through an engaging interface where students select an interactive learning style.
