Award-winning digital microscopes donated

Ken-A-Vision has announced the donation of 100 of the new kenaT Digital Microscopes to science teachers across the U.S.

The initiative, valued at over $30,000, supports the primary goal of the "Enhancing Education through Technology (Ed Tech) Program" under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). The Ed Tech ARRA is also designed to ensure that every student is technologically literate by the end of eighth grade and to encourage the integration of technology into the curriculum.

Kena is a new portable digital microscope for the classroom. It uses a USB connection, to magnify, capture or modify images or video, has few moving parts and low energy usage.It won the 2009 International Design Excellence Bronze Award (IDEA).
