Today's Newsletter: How Edtech Really Works

Every month or so I like to do a specific search of the Tech&Learning news feeds for stories related to 1:1 district initiatives. We all know about the infamous failures in Los Angeles and Guilford County, NC but what about the successes? Turns out there are plenty, but it’s rather boring when stuff just works. This week, teachers at Community Unit School District 95 in suburban Chicago praised their district’s iPad program for keeping kids connected to work at home. Faculty at Warrensburg-Latham High School no longer have issues coordinating computer lab time. And in Philly, schools at many different levels of tech-enablement are developing a digital culture. All are terrific examples. None are very exciting. When it comes to edtech working, no news is good news. —Kevin Hogan, Content Director
