Today's Newsletter: The Death of Print? Not So Fast
News last week that Scholastic sold off most of its edtech business is just the latest item in the Tech&Learning newsfeeds to suggest that we withhold any obituaries for printed materials in classrooms. A recent survey published by research firm Simba makes the case with hard numbers: 70 percent of educators surveyed said they used both digital and print, however 54 percent said they use digital resources only about one to two hours per day. 10 percent said they use digital materials for five hours or more per day. This Education Week article offers even more examples of the print-ain’t-dead trend. —Kevin Hogan, Content Director
