Interactive Geography Site Launched

Population Connection, a grassroots advocacy and education organization, recently launched www.WorldPopulationHistory.org, an interactive website featuring tools that can be used in the classroom to explore topics such as geography and environmental science. There are free, downloadable lesson plans designed for high school science and social studies classes.

The website’s central feature and tool is an interactive world population map that represents the 2,000-year journey of human civilization through five areas of human existence (People & Society, Science & Technology, Food & Agriculture, Health, and the Environment). To learn more, visit worldpopulationhistory.org.
