$1000 scholarship awarded

ClassLink announces the recipient of its 8th Annual ClassLink College Scholarship Program. The program is open to high school seniors at participating ClassLink schools who are interested in furthering their education at a two or four-year college. This year’s winner isMegan Heaning from Arthur L. Johnson High School in New Jersey’s Clark Public School District.

Seniors from ClassLink high schools across the country were asked to describe one skill or competency learned during their 13 years in school that they felt was invaluable. The $1000 scholarship may be applied to tuition, fees, books, room and board, or any other education expense.

Megan Heaning's essay concerned her editorial in the school newspaper, of which she is the Editor-in Chief. She wrote about the dangers of underage drinking and the potentially devastating repercussions.
