You can help teachers win approval to attend conferences if you promise that they will share the wealth with their colleagues. They can do this by becoming presenters. To make sure that their presentations will be worthwhile, work with them to:
- Consolidate their collected handouts and notes.
- Try out some of the ideas that were presented.
- Visit some of the websites that were mentioned.
- Present as a team of two or three. It will help ease their nervousness.
Encourage your teachers to go conferences, to share their experiences, and to present. Teachers enjoy learning ideas from other teachers.
