Media Literacy: Embrace It!

The teaching staff wants to expand specific instruction in Information Literacy skills. Where can we go to learn more about developing activities in the area of media literacy, encompassing video, the Internet, and other technology-based information?

Check with your site or district library/media specialist. S/he will be an excellent resource for teachers as they design lessons or units of instruction to help students better understand technology-based information tools. There are also several professional organizations that target media literacy education, focusing on critical analysis, learning, and skill-building.
