Missouri District Expands Tech Staff
Chillicothe (MO) R-2 School Board has approved the creation of a district technology instructor position for the next school year.
The board also approved the creation of two hourly computer maintenance technicians to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair technology equipment in the district. All three positions would be “budget neutral,” according to Superintendent Linda Gray Smith.
In-house applicants for the district technology instructor will be considered first, Smith says. The person hired would instruct teachers how to use technology in their classrooms and also maintain the district Website. The superintendent said that funding for the position would be derived from realigning existing funding.
