School Loop, developer of enterprise social software for K-12 schools, has added Albuquerque (NM) Public Schools and Fremont (CA) Unified School District to the ranks of School Loop customers. More than 3,600 U.S. K-12 schools now use School Loop’s communication, collaboration, and free website hosting tools to be more effective and focused on student achievement.
"School Loop is best of breed for school-to-home communication. Adoption in schools was fast and easy, and support has been fantastic," said John Krull, Director of Technology at Fremont Unified School District. Freemont Unified School District has adopted School Loop Plus, a web-based service that combines social communication tools with enterprise solutions to ensure that students keep on track and in school.
Albuquerque Public Schools spokeswoman Johanna King stated that the district expects to save more than $50,000 per year once School Loop’s school website hosting is implemented district-wide. Twenty-five Albuquerque schools are expected to be live on School Loop’s hosting system by the end of the 2011-2012 school year. More than 1,000 schools nationwide use School Loop’s free website hosting service.
"We started School Loop in 2004 with the belief that the emerging social web would become a major driver of school reform," said Mark Gross, School Loop CEO. "Thousands of schools seem to agree. We will take social networking for the K-12 enterprise a giant leap forward later this year with the introduction of OnTrackEDU, a social dashboard platform."
