Partnership Gives Nearly 300 WA Districts Access To Online Curriculum

Edmentum, provider of online learning solutions, has partnered with the Washington School Information Processing Cooperative (WSIPC) to offer its Plato Courseware solution to more than 300 WSIPC member school districts in Washington. The partnership enables schools to use standards-based online curriculum to expand their course offerings or help students recover credits.

Plato Courseware provides courses in a wide range of core subjects, electives, global languages, honors and advanced placement offerings for students who are falling behind, at grade level or needing advanced options. Courses are Common Core aligned and consist of integrated assessments that allow students to forgo content they have already mastered so they can focus on the concepts that need additional work.

“When we started searching for a world-class digital curriculum with a proven track record to assist students in need of credit recovery, our search stopped with Edmentum,” WSIPC Executive Director Marty Daybell said. “We knew Edmentum provided the quality, research-based curriculum to help our students succeed, particularly with the implementation of the more demanding Common Core standards.”

WSIPC supplies technological solutions, services and support to its member school districts throughout Washington. The cooperative’s user advisory groups stay on top of schools’ changing needs and make recommendations for new products and enhancement to existing software to ensure schools have access to the latest and most-effective learning solutions.
