Quick Way to Edit

Microsoft Word has built in quick ways to edit. Let’s say you have to put together an article or newsletter quickly and you are looking for a synonym or want to hyperlink some text. You can easily do this with a right click (Windows) or control and click (Mac).

  • Select a word or phrase.
  • Right-click (PC) or Control + Click (Mac) to bring up the contextual menu.
  • Check out the Synonyms of the word you selected and click on one to replace your word.
  • Thesaurus brings up the dictionary, Synonyms, and more.
  • Hyperlink brings up a box to include a URL that will link the text to the web address you specify.
