Internet4Classrooms

Name:Internet4Classrooms

Brief Description of the Site:
Loads of links for teachers arranged not just by subject area but also by interest (holiday links, idea starters, virtual field trips, etc) plus assessment-related links for each elementary grade plus selected high school subjects, including SAT/ACT Prep. An entire segment is reserved for links to online technology learning in areas as simple as MS Word and as complex as Dreamweaver. Even experienced users will find new things to learn here. Users might want to bookmark the pages of links of interest.

How to use the site:
Set aside a block of time and be amazed at what you'll find. Click on "Links for K-12Teachers" and browse the 22 "Subject Area" listings (five for math and six for science) or 26 "Interest" listings, including "WebQuest Information," "Lesson Plans," and "Project Ideas." Then spend time browsing the tremendous number of sites available from any of these links. As you explore sites for use in your classroom, don't forget to check the "Assessment" area. Though based on Tennessee standards, all teachers will find resources to help their students get ready for those important assessments. Also visit "Daily Dose of the Web" for categories of classroom-useful Web sites, or brush up on your technology skills at the "On-Line Practice Modules."
