Inventing Poor Richard

That colorful founding father, Benjamin Franklin published the first of his wildly successful “almanacks” under the name of Richard Saunders in December 1732. These almanacks came to be titled Poor Richard. These yearly publications cemented Franklin’s fame as a writer although most of the adages contained in them were not original with Franklin, nor did he claim them to be. Take some time to read about Franklin’s famous work and look at the pages from various almanacks through the years.
