Perimeter/Area and Surface Area/Volume Formulae

This versatile site allows several math standards to be addressed at one place. Students will be able to work on multiplication facts as well as area and perimeter. In addition, they can create arrays that will help them determine the area of a square. Once students determine the area they can also determine the perimeter of that square. Students can then make the connection as to the relationship between the size of squares and what happens to the area and perimeter. For example, when the square doubles, the area increases by four times and the perimeter doubles.
