The first component of the k-Purchase Solution is a requisition and ordering system customized to each school’s management process and to district rules. The system creates purchase orders, automatically places orders with vendors, shares data with accounting software, and provides analytic dashboards to help schools track their spending. The combination of efficiency and control saves staff members time and allows them to pay invoices with confidence.
The k-Purchase Solution also includes a school-specific Marketplace that gives staff an alternative to spending hours searching for items online, in catalogs, and over the phone. Once they find what they need, they add it to a purchase requisition with a single click. The Marketplace currently includes more than 45,000 items, including commonly purchased merchandise at discounted prices.
The third element of the solution is the Purchasing Advocate. Each school using k-Purchase is assigned an Advocate who customizes k-Purchase to the school’s requirements, trains staff, and provides ongoing support. The Advocate will also work with staff to understand their purchasing needs, find new vendors, and negotiate pricing.
